Forceful government actions, including the $700 billion bank rescue fund known as TARP, have created an environment where overall credit conditions are no longer an obstacle to the U.S. realizing an economic recovery, says Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. Oversight panel chief Elizabeth Warren sees problems in commercial real estate as a threat, however.
